Madandas

Shri Madandas popularly known, as Madanji among ABVP workers - had been activist for three decades from 1964, during which period he was National Organising Secretary of ABVP for 22 years. Hailing from a small town Karamala in Solapur district of Maharashtra Shri Madanji completed his B.Com., at Pune, where he worked as Sangh Swayamsevak. He studied Law (LLB) and did his CA in Mumbai, where he became an ABVP activist. Groomed, guided and galvonised by Prof. Yeshwant Rao Kelkar, the architect of ABVP, (it is not surprising that many in ABVP called Madanji as “Manasa putra” of Prof. Kelkarji!) he internalized ABVP and dedicated himself to the cause of National reconstruction. He became pracharak in 1968, and started working full time for ABVP, with Mumbai as HQ.

Madanji as National Organising Secretary from 1970 onwards, toured the length and breadth of Bharat for two decades, and contributed immensely for the growth and development of ABVP as a nation wide movement. Known for his organizational skills, strong inclination to develop personal contacts, Madanji personally know as unbelievably large no. of ABVP former activists.

He reads books, but he reads minds more! Reading persons is in his grain.

Many of the ABVP karyakartas who came into close contact with Madanji, are now prominent persons in their respective fields of activity – social/ public work, journalism, politics, development etc.

Madandasji, an RSS pracharak after his long innings in ABVP, was entrusted the responsibility in Sangh first as Akhil Bharat Saha pracharak pramukh, and later as Sah-Sarkaryavah (Joint Gen. Secretary RSS) the responsibility he holds now.

In the initial days of Swadesh Jagaran Manch, he guided the movement. Haring his HQ at Delhi he also lairises between RSS and Deendaya Research Instt., apart from BJP.

Madanji has visited UK and USA. He keeps contact with the Hindu Swayam Sevak Sangh of USA, for which he travels often.
