Shri. K. N. Raghunandan hailing from Shimoga District of Karnataka, has completed B.Com., L. L. B. As an activist of ABVP during college days, Shri Raghunandan has led many student agitations; organised ABVP at district and university levels. He was Karnataka State Secretary of ABVP. Shri.Raghunandan has been a full time worker of organisation since 1990-91 and was Banglore City Organising Secretary. Later on he was appointed Karnataka State Organising Secretary in 1994, the responsibility he held till May 2003. During this period, ABVP has grown in the state in many dimensions, making a remarkable impact on educational field of the state. He is also Zonal Organising Secretary of South Zone. He was elected the National General Secretary of ABVP in the National Conference of 2003.

Shri. Raghunandan has a thorough study of the students` problems and issues in higher education. A skilled organiser, he has also been a composed but effective student leader. These qualities made him the National Secretary of ABVP also for 3 years earlier. Shri. Raghunandan actively participated in many a national level activity such as Chalo Kashmir (Save-Kashmir Yatra), Shahidi Smarak Jyoti-yatra in Punjab during the hot days of terroism there etc.

He was the forefornt organiser of the movement against ‘Miss Universe’ Beauty Contest held in Bangalore in 1996. The agitation was so powerful that nobody dared organise beauty contests thereafter.
