Students' Experience In Inter-State Living (S.E.I.L.)

Students' Experience in Inter-State Living (SEIL) is a movement for emotional integration, a movement to inculcate a feeling of oneness amongst the people residing in different parts of the country and to promote awareness about the dangers of divisive and separatist forces which seriously endanger National Integration.

SEIL was born in 1966 when a group of activitsts of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) visited distant border areas specially in the North East. It was realised that the people living in the distant North Eastern states could be integrated with the people of other states if a sense of cultural and emotional assimilation could be developed. Inter-State living experience especially amongst the youth and students could play a decisive role in creating a bond of understanding between different parts of this vast country.

SEIL has regularly organised exchange programmes of the North-Eastern students and more than thousand students have had an opportunity to enrich their lives. These exchange programmes have changed the perspective of not only the participants but also of large sections of the society in these remote areas.

India's Largest Portal on Educational Information

Vidyapatha is India's largest protal on "Education Information" with 2 lakhs visits by 30 thousand users per month from all over the world. Vidyapatha is aimed to provide genuine information regarding educational opportunities, educational institutions and career guidance. Vidyapatha is owned by Vidyarthi Shikshana Seva Trust of Bangalore, an Non-governmental organization.

On one side, there are more than 2500 courses and branches offered by 250 Indian universities and more than 15000 other higher educational institutes. Neither a student nor an institute has information of these institutes and courses. On other side, we have educational institutions without proper information facilities, inadequate libraries, examining students without proper information, facilities, inadequate libraries, examining students without proper teaching, lack of quality and efficiency in administration, inability to visualise the man power requirements, students deprived of modern day technology. Have all disorganised the academic community and made student's life miserable.

Thereby, being a permier student organisation, it becomes inevitable for us to provide information on education in India and also to expose the student community to different opportunities available so as to enable them to take the right decision.

A State Level Exhibition cum Competition For Technocrats

Since 1986, DIPEX , a state level exhibition cum competition of the working models prepared by the polytechnic students, is being organized by ABVP. DIPEX is an effort to give the exposure to the creativity of the students.It's the only platform available where the student get an opportunity to interact with the renowned industrialist,academician and all the cross section of the society.

OBJECTIVES :

1.Identifying a real life problem faced by our country and applying technical inputs to solve them.


2.Increasing "Problem Solving Capabilities" of Engineering students.

3.Promoting Creativity and total innovativeness among students.

The scenario of today's technical education needs fundamental re-thinking over various aspects. As a result of technical revolution and information explosion, cutting edge knowledge has become order of the day whereas entrepreneurship, innovation and new product development have been neglected. SRUJANA is a project of the state level Model Project Exhibition cum competetion for the technical students of Andhra Pradesh. The event is designed to provide a platform to exhibit their innovative talents and multilateral interaction of students with industry, experts and society. Further the young technocrats will be guided and inspired, towards entrepreneurship, by the proffessionals and experienced entrepreneurs.
